BreaktheTide Celebrates Its 5-Year Anniversary Gala!
On November 1, 2025, BreaktheTide proudly marked its 5-year anniversary with a wonderful gala attended by more than 60 WaveMakers.
The evening featured BreaktheTide’s signature silent auction, which was a tremendous success. Guests bid on beautiful artifacts from Bangladesh, stunning paintings by talented artists from the DMV area (DC, Maryland, and Virginia), and unique handmade jackets and earrings created by WaveMakers themselves. Nearly all of the items were generously donated by members of our WaveMakers.
Masala Bazaar Café provided a delicious dinner and appetizer, and our DJ – who kindly donated his time and kept the celebration lively with an amazing mix of music around the world. A heartfelt thank-you goes to our incredible volunteers, whose dedication, energy, and enthusiasm made the event such a success. Volunteers are the true lifeblood of BreaktheTide!
Many WaveMakers also made heartfelt contributions during and after the event. Every donation will directly support BreaktheTide’s 2026 projects, helping us continue to create meaningful impact around the world.
Every dollar, every volunteer hour, and every connection prove that when WaveMakers and WaveBreakers join forces, we can truly change the tide for communities both locally and globally.
