Our current program provides 1×1 in-person and virtual leadership and career coaching to young adults who are primarily refugees and asylees in the Houston area. Amel Association USA started the program with one school and has expanded to two schools providing over 135 coaching sessions.
In 2023, Amel aims to expand to more schools through 1×1 and group coaching, and are looking for funds to support operational expenses. The coaching program is provided at no cost to the students or the school(s). The coaching program has, and continues to empower the refugee and asylee students in Houston’s local communities to reach their goals, and be better leaders of tomorrow. The program also provides accessibility to otherwise expensive executive leadership coaching at no cost to the underrepresented student community.
