Anyone who falls within the definition of the Mission of BreaktheTide is welcome to apply. Whether you are an individual or an organization, we welcome you to complete the online application to determine if you meet our requirements.

No. BreaktheTide will not charge you for posting a project to its website. Instead, BreaktheTide will retain a minimum administrative fee (<5%) when raising money for your project. This fee is added to the total dollar amount that needs to be raised to fully fund your project.

BreaktheTide will require a commitment from you or your organization to provide financial and operational status reports for the project, photos and videos of the progress of your project in order to populate the website and maintain transparency. Please reach out to us on our contact page to begin the process of getting your project selected as a WaveBreaker on our website.

It may take up to 14 business days to receive a response on your application.

Yes. BreaktheTide will be able to provide funds to organizations with bank accounts that accept international transfers (from the US), with no prohibitive costs being incurred on BreaktheTide.

The duration of each project may vary but no active project can extend beyond 365 days from the initial funding date.

Financial documents are determined on a case by case basis. However, Transparency and Accountability is the cornerstone of BreaktheTide so necessary documents are required from the organizations for full disclosure of the progress of the project.
